Snow-capped mountains: Mount Kosciuszko

Daintree Tropical Forest
The Daintree Tropical Forest in northern Queensland is the largest in Australia. It covers 1,000 square kilometers. It's considered one of the most ecologically important rainforests in the world. You can see unique Australian plants and animals. Not only are there hikes in the forest, but also trips along the nearby Daintree River.
Uluru
This is probably one of Australia's most recognizable places. Uluru, or Ars Rock, is a massive rock formation in the center of Australia's red desert. Although locals ask tourists not to climb the rock, even the view from the ground is mesmerizing, especially at sunrise or sunset. Hikes around the rock are organized. They also talk about the Australian Aborigines and the significance of this place in their lives.
Mackenzie Falls
Located in Grampians National Park, Victoria, Mackenzie Falls is one of the largest in Australia. Walking in this area is suitable for people of all ages: everyone can admire the beautiful waterfall!
Shark Bay
One of Australia's most beautiful beaches is located in Western Australia, at the farthest point on the continent. Not only is this beach fantastically beautiful, but it is also home to Australia's least known animals - dugongs. There are more than 10,000 of them (more than 12% of all dugongs in the world). This is definitely an animal lover's paradise!
Kakadu National Park
Kakadu National Park is located about 170 kilometers south of Darwin in northern Australia. It covers almost 20,000 square kilometers. Thanks to its incredible diversity of landscape, the park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can also see Aboriginal stone art, which some experts estimate to be more than 40,000 years old.
The Rocks of the Twelve Apostles
Partway along the Great Ocean Road (one of the world's most famous routes), you pass the 12 Apostles, incredible natural rock formations near the coastline. Most of them, unfortunately, have already collapsed into the sea, but their appearance is stunning. There are many stops along the route, such as the Grotto and London Bridge. It's all worth seeing!
Great Barrier Reef
The Great Barrier Reef is not only impressive. It lives up to its name "the largest living thing in the world". Some of Australia's most incredible marine life lives here. There are many species of fish, turtles, dolphins, and of course the amazingly colorful corals. The Great Barrier Reef attracts tourists from all over the world. Many prefer to dive and swim, but there are also land-based activities, from hikes to the unique "toad races" in nearby Port Douglas.
