South West Coast - Western Australia
This magnificent and rugged stretch of wild coastline is where the Southern and Indian ocean collide. And do they do it with a bang! This is a remarkable stretch of Australian coastline – from Cape Leeuwin to Cape Naturaliste, this region incorporates some very above average holiday experiences.
Besides the beautiful beaches, you have great surfing, excellent wineries of the Margaret River region and best of all, it is all un-touched by the developers. See giant cliffs, limestone caves, secluded beaches , sand dunes and forests.
There are a few small villages to enjoy and the area is a great getaway from Perth. The Southern corner of Western Australia consists of magnificent scenes and incredible contrasts - forests, beaches, cliffs, lakes and fields, all within a short distance of each other. The coastline heading south from Perth is a favorite family holiday destination with white sandy beaches, sheltered from the brunt of the Indian Ocean by outer reefs.
The Margaret River area is renowned for producing some of the best wine in the world as well as its excellent and challenging surf breaks. Heading west along the south-east coast of Western Australia are the great Karri forests around Pemberton and a wild and scenic coastline which is almost untouched which also provides prolific fishing grounds for the keen angler
