Kosciuzko National Park

The largest national park in NSW and one of the world's greatest including the highest mountains in Australia as well as the famous snowy river. This park contains New South Wales' major ski resorts and some of the best cross country skiing areas in the world on the Main Range and Jugungal Wilderness Area.

The broad shaped valleys around the main range are a result of glacial action during the ice ages and make for easy access to the Main Range which offers fantastic cross country skiing. and for the adventurous , challenging downhill runs on the steep western faces.

The displays of wildflowers in the summer months on the alpine areas are truly spectacular and bushwalking to the top of Australia during this time is an incredible experience.

The park stretches from the Victorian border north to the edge of the A.C.T., between Khancoban and Talbingo in the west and Adaminaby to Jindabyne in the east covering 690 000ha.
