Mooloolaba is situated on the coast, in the middle of Queenslands beautiful Sunshine Coast region. Just 1 1/2 hours drive north of Brisbane.

Mooloolaba is a great family destination, with calm , patrolled beaches and waterways. The main beach at Mooloolaba offers a variety of activities for families, with a big playground for the kids to enjoy. There are many specialist shops on the Mooloolaba Boulevade, including surf shops, out door eateries and cafe's, fine restaurants , niteclubs and the famous Mooloolaba Hotel.

Round at the Mooloolaba spit you can enjoy some great fishing from either the breakwall of Point Cartwright or in the protected waterways. If you enjoy seafood, you will not get fresher fish and tasty prawns - than direct from boats at the local Mooloolaba Fish Market. Here you can also enjoy some first class seafood dining at the many local restaurants.

Mooloolaba is a great all year round destination, that has warm, mild days in winter and spring, with hot sunbaking days in the summer. Dont forget the suntan lotion here in summer, as you can burn in minutes here. Kids can especially be affected so always get them in the hats and sunscreen.

Mooloolaba also has the famous Underwater World - where you can see fish of all descriptions and sharks, while walking in the tunnel. They also have great seal shows. Underwater World is located at the Wharf, which has restaurants, shopping and a nightclub. However a word of warning on the nightclub at the Wharf - it can be a dangerous place for visitors after dark,as the bouncers can be over zealous and quite violent at times and we would always recommend caution at the Wharf Tavern. There are better and safer nightclubs in the Mooloolaba precinct, that dont have the stigma of the Wharf Tavern.

If you have an interest in sailing a yacht, or deep sea fishing, Mooloolaba has plenty to offer visitors and there are also a great range of accommodations available in the Mooloolaba area - from small holiday houses to 5 star units with beautiful ocean vistas.

Mooloolaba is also close to many other great Sunshine Coast regions, including Maroochydore and Caloundra. All family friendly destinations. Mooloolaba is the perfect place for a weekend or week away.
