National Maritime Museum

Australia is the world's greatest island, with its history, society and daily life shaped by the sea. Discover the history of Australia, from Aboriginal seafarers, to early European explorers; from the long, often hazardous sea voyages faced by migrants and settlers. to the sea as part of Australia`s national identity - sun, surf and sails. See Australia II, relics of Captain Cook's Endeavour, and more. The Museum`s historic vessels are moored at our two finger wharves.

The National Maritime Museum is situated in Darling Harbour, on the western side of Pyrmont Bridge.

Open every day 9.30am to 5.00pm. except Christmas Day.
