Whitsunday Island - Queensland
Whitsunday Island is the largest of all the Islands in the Whitsundays. Surrounded by crystal clear waters and coral, this is an idyllic paradise for swimming snorkelling, diving and many water activities. There are many wonderful beaches on Whitsunday Island, including the world famous, Whitehaven Beach which has supposedly the whitest sand in the world.
Located just a short trip from Airlie Beach Whitsunday Island is a National Park and has limited camping available for tourists. There is fresh water at Joes Beach, Sawmill and Dugong beaches, Come and enjoy the unique paradise of this un-inhabited island
How to get to Whitsunday Island
A high speed catamaran will get you here from Shute Harbour on the main- land in about thirty minutes.
